Back To School Safety Tips 2024

Another school year begins this September, and we want our Comp Alliance school members to particularly focus on minimizing workplace injuries. A new school year brings the anxiety of classroom instruction, introductions to new faces, and unique surroundings for new staff. Ultimately, safety in education remains a central purpose of school districts. Moreover, the safety of your staff begins with a concerted effort by administration to consider the basic notion of employee health and wellness. How do teachers and staff feel about their wellbeing at work? Are they safe, can they teach without concerns for injury or illness, and how are problem students handled?

As part of the Comp Alliance Risk Management team’s focus on employee health and safety, we are providing daily safety tips for the week leading up to the opening day of school. From Monday, August 26th through Friday, August 30, our safety tips will focus on areas of risk and prevention. These tips will serve as reminders to staff of the importance of safety, completing injury-free work, and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the entire school year. With that, the Comp Alliance hopes you have a fantastic start to the 2024-25 school year!
